If you are enrolling at WWU for the first time:
Applying is fast, easy and free! Submit your application online, then send your transcripts ACT/SAT scores to William Woods University.
At William Woods University, every residential student who agrees to participate in campus events qualifies for the LEAD Award. Residential students receive a $2,000 tuition award plus one free online summer class per year. Commuter students receive $1,000 pear year in addition to the annual online summer course. We also offer academic, performance and athletic scholarships.

Although filing the FAFSA is not a requirement, this one form opens the doors to federal, state, and WWU need-based grants, plus federal loans and federal work-study jobs.
The application must be completed annually in order to access funds and is available October 1st of each year. Renewable applicants must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Each FAFSA covers a single academic year. Students must be pursuing a degree or federally approved certificate in order to receive federal assistance. Traditional undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours per semester for federal student loan eligibility.

Note: If your FAFSA is selected for verification by the Department of Education, you will be notified by the student financial services office for additional FAFSA Verification paperwork.
If you have completed the FAFSA, WWU will automatically award all federal and state grants for which you are eligible. Additionally, any student eligible for the Missouri Bright Flight Program will also be automatically awarded based off the State’s list of awarded students.
By completing the FAFSA form, you will automatically be notified if you qualify for a Federal Direct loan used by the US Department of Education. However, there are other loan options to explore including private student loans, private loans for parents/others, or federal Parent PLUS loans.
Once the Office of Student Financial Services receives notification of your WWU scholarships from Admissions and/or your FAFSA information, we will compile your entire financial aid package and make it available to review through the Financial Aid Portal.

Once your aid package is finalized, you will be asked to accept or decline the awards electronically. Once aid is accepted, all follow-up documents submitted, and any additional requirements met, your aid will be reflected on your WWU billing account as anticipated funds.
Read all instructions on all applications carefully and answer all questions as accurately as possible. Keep a copy of all completed forms for your personal records.
