Requirements

We’ve listed the requirements and application steps for all of our online programs below.

Online Undecided Degree Seeking

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.5 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Deaf Human Services

  • A completed application
  • An ASLPI score of 2.0 or higher
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher before starting program

Online Bachelor of Science in Interpretation Studies in ASL - English

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated
  • Language proficiency: applicants will be assessed by full-time campus faculty for ASL fluency through an online assessment. The established proficiency benchmark must be met for entrance to the program. This assessment will be waived for applicants holding current NIC certification.
  • College/university experience: You must have completed a two-year degree in ASL interpreting or course equivalencies as determined by program faculty prior to entry to the program.
  • GPA requirements: You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to start ASL program courses.

Online Bachelor of Science in Management and Leadership

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Paralegal

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Workforce Development

  • Completed application
  • Associate of Applied Science degree
  • 2.0 GPA or higher

Online Master of Business Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated
  • Other proficiency requirement: You must have 3 hours of accounting and 3 hours of economics on an undergraduate level. (William Woods University provides these courses online.)

Online Master of Education in Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Athletics/Activities Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university from which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Equestrian Education

  • Graduate Application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) showing Bachelor's degree. Only transcripts received in a sealed envelope directly from the sending school will be considered official.
  • A curriculum vitae demonstrating your knowledge of and experience in the equine industry. This may include items such as certifications, professional memberships, your student accomplishments in the field, or your professional accomplishments in the field. 
  • Teaching Philosophy – a self-reflective statement of your beliefs about teaching and learning. This should discuss how you put your beliefs into practice by including examples of what you do or anticipate doing in the classroom or riding arena.
  • Teaching Video – a 20-30 minute video, uploaded to YouTube or another easily-accessed social media site, of the applicant teaching either an applied riding lesson or in a classroom setting.

Online Master of Education in STEM

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Teaching and Technology

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated
  • This degree aligns with the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards and National Education Technology Standards. Teachers currently certified in the enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching (eMINTS) program may apply for up to nine hours of credential learning credit based on their level of certification.

Online Master of Healthcare Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Completion Degree

Students will be considered for admission to the BSN completion program based upon successfully meeting the following admission criteria:

  • An unencumbered, unrestricted nursing license as a Registered Nurse in the state where the applicant practices.
  • An accepted application to William Woods University 
  • Completion and submission of the William Woods University nursing application packet (an accepted application to the BSN completion program is required prior to taking any nursing coursework).
  • Cumulative GPA of a minimum of 30 credit hours of completed college courses of 2.75 or higher will be given first consideration. GPAs below 2.75 may be considered on an individual basis.
  • For those with an associate’s degree/diploma program from a regionally accredited institution, up to 40 nursing credits may be applied toward the BSN and general education credits will transfer as applicable.
  • At this time, eligible applicants must reside in one of the following states that fall in accordance with the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming                             

Additional consideration given when admitting a student is based upon completed coursework, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA, 2010), and ethics and values consistent with the profession of nursing.
