Janelle Schulte was appointed to the board in 2025. A veteran of the health care industry, she is a retired registered nurse who specialized over the course of her career in the areas of medical oncology and radiation therapy. For eighteen years (2005-2023), she served as a nurse at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri, with areas of expertise that included radiation oncology, medical oncology, interventional radiology, medical imaging, and non-invasive cardiology. Previously, she served in the areas of radiation oncology and medical imaging at the Mid-Missouri Medical Foundation from 1988-2005. Before becoming a registered nurse, Schulte worked as a licensed animal technician at Southwest Animal Hospital from 1972 to 1984, where she specialized in small animals and equine.
Schulte holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSN) and an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). She was certified by the Oncology Nursing Society and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
