Job Title: Graduate Assistant - Enrollment Management

Department: Admissions

Reports To: Director of Undergraduate Enrollment

Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.

General Description:

The Enrollment Management Graduate Assistant is responsible for assisting the admissions office with student recruitment.  This includes speaking and meeting with potential students and their families, developing content for social media, email communication and more. The position will also assist with other business administrative duties to include but not limited to data entry, answering phones, greeting visitors at the front desk, processing acceptance letters, mailers and event planning. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Be knowledgeable about William Woods University by having a thorough understanding of all University programs and mission.

·         Responsible for communicating with potential domestic and international students about William Woods University.

·         Responsible for assisting in admissions campus event planning; working closely with the Director of Enrollment.

·         Responsible for helping the admissions office create and post content on social media for marketing purposes.

·         Assist with mailing and distribution of marketing publications, emails, etc.

·         Assist with overseeing the office front desk; greeting walk ins and visitors.

·         Assist with answering the admissions main telephone line to answer questions or disseminate calls to the appropriate staff or office.

·         Provide excellent customer service to visitors, faculty, staff and prospective students.

·         Develop strong and positive relationships with other campus offices, faculty and staff.

·         Represent William Woods University in a professional manner.

·         Must be able to work 20 hours a week with some evening and weekend hours required for special recruitment events.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

·         A bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.

·         Experience in customer service and or office management.

·         Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with people.

·         Must perform as a team player.

·         Must be positive, outgoing, enthusiastic, self-motivated and self-disciplined.

·         Must be organized, flexible and creative; maintain attention to detail.

·         Must be computer literate. 

Typical Physical Demands:

·         Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times each day.

·         Ability to lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds.

·         Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

·         Ability to speak and read English fluently.

·         Ability to hear.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position required to work 20 hours a week.
