International Student Experience

Welcome to William Woods University!
Our school wouldn’t be the same without getting to share cultures and stories and learn together. That’s what makes this such a great place.
Hailing from 24 countries from all over the world, international students at William Woods make up such an important part of our community.
We know choosing to study in a new place can be a big decision, but our team works hard with you to make sure this process is more exciting than it is stressful. Explore your options and speak with our admissions team, who specialize in helping international students get through all the paperwork and feel right at home.
Let's get started!
Get Involved.
As an international student at William Woods, you can participate in everything that domestic students can — over 40 clubs and honors societies, in all kinds of areas that may interest you, from multicultural affairs to student government. Join a fraternity or sorority, take advantage of research opportunities, or join a sports team — both on the NAIA level, and in intramurals just for fun. Explore student life and all of the intriguing ways to get involved and make friends.
Centered in the Midwestern region of the United States — just between Kansas City and St. Louis — our unique location allows you to visit different places and cities. We’re close to all kinds of activities, including professional sports teams, national and state parks, museums, theatres and beautiful American landmarks and monuments.
Find your passion.
Choose from over 100 academic undergraduate majors and minors, including one of the best equestrian and ASL interpreting programs in the world. But don’t feel obligated to choose what to study right away.
Your classes will have an average of 14 students, who you’ll get to know right away. And know that whichever path you choose — from business, education, art, science, sports, and more — you will find that your classroom learning is complemented and fulfilled by what you learn through other campus activities and through the local, regional, and international communities you encounter while you are here.
