The Golden Moose Awards, not to be
confused with the Golden Globe Awards,
are awarded for the best wild game hunts
caught on video. To win one Golden Moose
Award would be a big deal, but videos shot
Stephen Boulware
, a 2002 William
Woods University graduate, won two.
Boulware recorded the hunts of country
singer/songwriter Craig Morgan for
Morgan’s hunting show called “Craig
Morgan: All Access Outdoors,” which
can be seen on the Outdoor Channel.
Marc Womack, producer for Morgan’s
outdoor show and a well-known and
respected producer and videographer,
Killer Shot
originally hired Boulware to be the
videographer for Morgan’s television show.
The Outdoor Channel offers programming
that captures the excitement of hunting,
fishing, shooting, off-road motorsports,
adventure, and the Western lifestyle and can
be viewed on multiple platforms including
high definition, and video-on-demand, as well
as on a dynamic broadband website.
The 12th Annual Golden Moose Awards
were presented at the Hard Rock Hotel &
Casino in Las Vegas during the Shooting,
Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show. They honor
the producers and on-air talent from the
Outdoor Channel's programming. The
show was hosted by Michael Waddell of
"Realtree Road Trips" and “Bone Collector.”
“The Golden Moose Awards recognize the
creative achievements of our quality outdoor
programming, and the talented personalities
and skilled production work that bring these
shows to life,” said Tom Hornish, COO at
Outdoor Channel.
Morgan’s show won awards for Best Deer,
beating out 50 competitors, and Best Turkey,
surpassing six other nominations. Best Deer
had the largest number of Golden Moose
Award submissions.
