Teaching Philosophy:

  • I believe in engaging our students with the community as soon as possible through hands-on learning and service projects. It is a privilege as a professor to assist in the growth and professional development of our students from the beginning of their freshman year in an introductory class to the end of their senior year when they are assessing communities, social problems, working directly with clients, developing intervention plans, providing services, and improving client lives. To assist in the transition from student to professional is one of the remarkable strengths of this program.
