Children's Summer Theatre Experience at The Woods

Monday Jul 16, 2018 08:45 AM - Jul 20, 2018 08:00 PM

William Woods University Theatre announces our Children’s Summer Theatre Experience at The Woods, July 16 – 20 in beautiful Dulany Auditorium on the William Woods University campus in Fulton, Missouri. This fun theatre intensive provides the unique opportunity for students ages 11 – 19 (middle school/high school) to spend a week learning more about theatre. Students will explore their theatrical talents by participating in a variety of acting experiences, improvisations, theatre games, monologue performances, and set designs intended to explore and enhance their technique and talent.

We start at 9 a.m. each day and end at noon. Each morning will be filled with rehearsals and the exploration of theatre artistry. There will be mini-classes in a variety of topics, including theatre etiquette, monologue performance, improvisation, stage combat, and technical staging.

Students will receive a camp T-shirt (to be worn for the performance on Friday) and be provided with a folder to keep their scripts and handouts in throughout the week.

Our Children’s Summer Theatre Experience at The Woods concludes on Friday, July 20, @ 7 p.m. with an open house and public performance.
