Job Title: Adj. Inst. for Undergrad. On-Ground Bus. Programs

Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.

General Description:

William Woods University invites applications for a part-time adjunct position to teach on-ground courses for undergraduate business program students at our Fulton, Missouri, campus (William Woods University, 1 University Ave, Fulton, MO 65251). These positions must be filled for fall semester classes starting in August 2024.

Qualified applicants must submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, and contact information for three references.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach the on-ground business courses, including Entrepreneurship, Principles of Marketing, Business Ethics, Organizational Behavior, and Introduction to Finance, starting in the Fall semester of 2024. In your application’s cover page, please clearly mention which of the above courses you are qualified for and willing to teach. Candidates can teach up to three courses in one 16-week semester.

Position Requirements:

  • A master's degree in business administration or a directly related discipline (with at least 18 graduate credit hours) is required.
  • A doctoral degree in business administration or a related discipline is desired but not required. ABDs with a documented completion date may be considered.
  • Teaching experience at a higher educational institution is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, strong work ethic, and a commitment to working well with others.
  • Knowledge of and/or demonstrated experience in using a learning management system (LMS) such as D2L.
  • Ability to perform teaching, grading, evaluation, and administrative duties independently to fulfill the program's goals and objectives within the department's overall mission, the division, and the University.
