Online Learning Overview
Online Delivery
Online classes offer both flexibility and convenience. William Woods University’s online courses are delivered via Brightspace. Follow this Step-By-Step Guide to Brightspace to learn how to access your online courses.
Format
Online classes follow the William Woods University standard academic year of three semesters – Fall, Spring, and Summer. Each 16-week semester is divided into two 8-week terms. Most online classes are eight weeks long. You can remain continuously enrolled throughout the calendar year.
When you are first registered, your academic advisor provides a degree completion plan. Your degree plan is based on your start date, program requirements, pre-requisite courses, transfer credits, and when each course is offered within the academic year. If adjustments need to be made based on your work demands, family and personal needs, or financial aid, your academic advisor will work with you to make the best adjustments to meet your needs and goals.
