Federal Grants
Pell Grant
Awarded on an annual basis to students with a qualifying expected family contribution (EFC) as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The amount of the award is determined by the Department of Education.
Books & Supplies - Pell Grant Students
Students who receive a Pell Grant may receive a voucher for books, providing they have financial aid in excess of institutional charges.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Students who file the FAFSA and are determined to qualify for the Pell Grant will be considered for an SEOG Grant. This Federal award is made on a first come, first serve basis and does not have to be repaid. The amount of the award is up to $1,000.
State Grants
Missouri
Access Missouri Grant
Missouri residents who complete the FAFSA by February 1 have a calculated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) equal to 12000 or less on the Student Aid Report, and are enrolled full-time will be considered for this need-based grant. Students will also have to maintain a cumulative college GPA of at least 2.50 to be eligible to renew this grant. Funding is subject to State budget appropriations.
Missouri Bright Flight Scholarship
To qualify for this merit-based scholarship, residents of Missouri must score in the top 5% of all Missouri students on the ACT or SAT and enroll in an approved Missouri college as a full-time student immediately after graduating from high school. The FAFSA is not required to be eligible for the Bright Flight Scholarship. Students have to maintain a cumulative college gpa of at least 2.50 to be eligible for the renewal of this scholarship. Funding is subject to State budget appropriations.
