PRL320 Alternative Dispute Resolution

This course will introduce students to the use of various alternatives to litigation in legal practice. The course will include discussion of the goals of the traditional adversarial legal system and how those goals do not necessarily meet the interests of those who seek justice and resolution of conflicts through the courts. The course will include both theoretical analysis and practical skill-building in conflict resolution, including arbitration, mediation and negotiation. 3 Credits
