COM359 Digital Video/Film Production

An introductory course in the fundamentals of writing, shooting, editing, and lighting for narrative film and video productions. Introduces the student to the planning, execution and editing of television/digital video programming involving field and studio production. This is a hands-on production course emphasizing aesthetics, creativity, and technical expertise. Includes practical experience in operating a variety of audio and video field equipment, as well as additional experience in operating studio and post-production editing equipment. Expect significant amounts of shooting and editing outside of class as well as helping classmates on their shoots.
