SWK230 Interviewing and Agency Analysis

This course focuses on core communication skills essential to interviewing and the problem-solving process. Students gain exposure to basic listening and action oriented skills within the context of social work values and knowledge. Generalist practice along with exposure to cultural diversity and populations at risk are emphasized through tours of area social service agencies. This exposure affords students the opportunity to anaylze service delivery and components that comprise various organizational systems.
