EDU520 - Research Design

This course emphasizes knowledge of various issues, processes, and procedures used in educational research and program evaluation. Research design concepts are developed that lead the student through the identification of a research problem, developing research questions and hypotheses, conducting a review of related literature and developing the outline of the design implementation and analysis. Equal emphasis is given to qualitative and quantitative techniques. An overview of experimental, quasi-experimental and mom-experimental designs will be included. That included historical, naturalistic study and/or ethnography. Processes to determine and use basic statistical data through computations will also be introduced.
