LGS331 Contracts and Torts

This course will introduce to the students to the substantive area of torts and contracts. Tort law is that area of law that provides a remedy for harms to private individuals. Tort law includes intentional torts and unintentional torts. This course will introduce students to the theory that forms the basis for society’s interest in assigning blame and the economic distribution of liability. Contract law is the area of law that provides the basis for rights and obligations between private individuals and, also, provides a remedy for harms for breach of those rights and obligations.
