NUR 430 - Issues in Mental Health Nursing

Application of the nursing process with emphasis on critical thinking, therapeutic nursing interventions, and effective communication and interpersonal skills as they relate to persons with psychiatric mental health conditions. Challenges of access to care, social stigma and alternative providers of care will be explored.

Prerequisite: NUR301 and NUR320

Credit Hours: 3.00
