ORL 558 - Developing Human Capital

Human capital is one of the most important building blocks of all types of organizations. This course provides students with knowledge and skills to manage all types of people-related issues and build the capacity to drive organizational performance. Students will examine various methods to develop talent that become a source of competitive advantage for the organization. With the help of case studies, readings, and discussions, they will analyze concepts such as motivating people, new age talent needs, hiring, performance management, compensation, reward, training and other types of talent development initiatives.
