ATR 545 - Clinical IV: Orthopedics: Traditional Setting

Lecture/lab component will review medical conditions. The learner will complete 4 case-based practical examinations differentiating musculoskeletal and medical diagnoses.

Clinical component will consist of practice of athletic training specific skills including screening of general medical conditions, evaluation of the upper extremities, lower extremities, and spine; application of first aid techniques including taping/bracing; application of modalities and manual therapy techniques; prescription of therapeutic exercises; and appropriate documentation under the supervision of a certified athletic trainer or physician for minimum of 200 and a maximum of 250 hours.
