Ivy Legacy Society
What is the Ivy Legacy Society?
This is a special group of William Woods University alumni and friends who have made specific provisions in their estate plans, making the university a beneficiary of a will, life insurance policy, or trust. The Ivy Legacy Society is a way in which the university can publicly recognize you for making a planned gift. When others see a peer's name listed, it also encourages them to consider making a planned gift.
Who should consider participating?
You should consider becoming a part of the Ivy Legacy Society when you are planning your estate. No matter what your income level or the size of your estate, you should consider leaving a planned gift as part of your overall philanthropy.
For more information about types of planned gifts, please see the planned gifts page.
Too often, the university learns of an estate gift too late to thank the donor personally or to extend appreciation for the impact of the gift on students. Furthermore, awareness of planned gifts enables the university to conduct long-range planning in a more informed manner.
