What is the Parents Association?

The Parents Association is a way for parents to remain involved in their student’s campus life. The program is designed to keep parents informed, engaged and connected—informed through university publications; engaged with campus events and receptions; and connected through involvement opportunities.

How do I join?

All parents of William Woods University undergraduate students are automatically members of the Parents Association. Your participation and support ensures your student has an outstanding college experience.

How do I become more involved?

The Parents Association offers a variety of ways to stay involved in your student’s campus life, including:

  • E-newsletters
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Campus events
  • Parent sponsorships

To find out more information, contact our office at 573.592.4220 or email parents@williamwoods.edu.

What is a Parent Sponsor?

Each year, through collective giving, parents are able to address student-driven initiatives that impact every student on campus. All gifts, no matter the size, add up quickly to benefit the university’s most valuable assets – our students.

The William Woods Parents Association uniquely allows parent sponsors to determine the impact of their collective donation through an annual voting process.

  • Students voice needs and concerns throughout the school year to the university president.
  • The president selects the top 3-4 initiatives which are then voted on by parent sponsors.

Gifts made through the Parents Association are used the year they are given, which means every gift benefits your student.
