Why did you choose William Woods?

I chose William Woods because when I came and did a tour I fell in love with the campus and the business program. I wasn’t just a number here and there were tons of clubs to get involved with. I loved how close WWU was to home too!

Campus Involvement

Presidents Twenty, Student Alumni Council, Rotaract, Order of Omega, Omicron Delta Kappa

A few questions with Baylie:

What is your favorite thing about WWU?

I love all the clubs and opportunities William Woods has to offer! I have been fortunate enough to travel on three trips with Woods Around the World: South Africa, Cuba, and Ecuador/Galapagos islands. In the Spring, I am traveling to Argentina and Antarctica. WWU is a great place to grow as a person and as a leader. I also love the small class size and professor-to-student ratio.

Have you had any internships?

The Callaway Bank: I worked at the main location here in Fulton while I was taking classes. My main tasks were assisting with advertising events and creating new graphic design pieces.

William Woods Marketing and Communications Office: Over the summer I worked on campus in the marketing department and assisted with social media, writing press releases, and updating the photo program.

These were both great experiences and I recommend all students getting an internship before graduating!

Why did you want to be a University Ambassador?

When I came for a visit to WWU, I loved my campus tour and my UA. I had a great experience and wanted prospective students to feel welcomed here. I enjoy giving tours on campus and meeting new students.

What is your favorite thing to do in Fulton?

I enjoy going down to the Brick District and shopping with my sorority sisters at the boutiques and antique stores. I love the small town of Fulton and everyone here is so friendly! In addition, I enjoy going to the bowling alley and movie theatre on the weekends.

What is your favorite memory from WWU?

One of my favorite memories from William Woods was Bid Day my freshman year. I accepted a bid from my sorority and ran out to meet my new sorority sisters! It was like Christmas in August!
