Bachelors in Criminal Justice Area of Emphasis in Homeland and Industrial Security
Prepare to take on some of the nation’s greatest safety threats.
The more that people rely on technology, the greater security threats grow, as does the need for informed securities experts—both in the public and private sectors.
The homeland and industrial security area of emphasis in the criminal justice major at William Woods University is organized to address the emerging field of homeland security; which is, in essence, a combination of federal law enforcement objectives and the interests of corporations who have national security concerns.
In addition to understanding the field of federal law enforcement and security management, students in this track will also major in management information systems, which allows for the possibility of obtaining employment in the areas of information security in corporations with national security interests.
Homeland Security Certification
We have partnered with the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (ABCHS). This allows our students to prepare and apply for certification in multiples levels and areas of homeland security, which makes them outstanding candidates in a growing field.
