Equestrian Academic Camp
WWU Equestrian Academic Camp offers serious equestrians ages 15-18 a unique and rigorous experience. Students with established riding proficiency in hunter-jumper, saddle seat, western or dressage will learn and practice ground training techniques and experience a variety of horses to hone their riding skills. The academic track that accompanies the hands-on learning in our state-of-the-art equestrian complex includes classroom instruction in equine first aid, equine competition and an introduction to teaching riding. Your days will wrap up with an equestrian film series and faculty-facilitated discussion that compliments the riding, training and classroom skills learned during camp. The Equestrian Academic Camp experience is ideal for high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the horse industry.
