Bachelors in Art Concentration in Art Education
Introduce them to their creative side.
Art class does more for a student than help mold them into an artist. It teaches them to look at things in a new way—to think outside the box and to imagine bigger. It gives them the free space to create, to explore and to take risks. It teaches them the importance of expression and it not only encourages students to be different, but it is the celebration of different.
The art education concentration within the Bachelor of Art degree at William Woods University prepares you to teach valuable lessons to kindergarteners through high school seniors that will help them excel in any area in life.
Through this concentration your curriculum will be interwoven with art courses to help you develop your techniques and foster your creativity as well as courses in education that will help you perfect your teaching methods and strengthen your skills as a classroom leader.
In conjunction with this degree you will take coursework to earn the Secondary Education Certification, which will enable you to teach art in Missouri for grades K-12.
