Student Portfolio Program
All students majoring in any of the Arts are required to maintain an ongoing portfolio representative of of the work they are doing. The portfolios differ depending on the particular discipline the student is engaged in. Each year each student is required to present their portfolio to a panel of faculty and outside professionals for review. This Annual Portfolio Review normally is conducted in March. Each discipline has its own procedures for orienting students into the review process. In Graphic Design and Studio Art, for example, incoming students take a one-hour course, Portfolio Development (ART 210). This course introduces the concept of portfolio development and assists students in designing and constructing an initial paper and electronic portfolio.
Senior Art Show
At the end of each year, graduating seniors host their own Senior Show in the Cox Art Gallery, which serves to showcase each student's creative career at William Woods.
