Alexis Willingham

What jobs have you had?

I currently work with Residential Life on campus as a Community Advisor in Alpha Chi Omega and this past summer I had the opportunity to work at Camp Granite Lake in Colorado.

What are your career plans?

I am planning to become a certified art teacher in K-12 so that I can work with high school students. I am also considering in double majoring in graphic design.

Why did you come to William Woods?

I decided to attend William Woods for the opportunities I would be given here and the relationships I would be able to make with my professors and other students. Being on a smaller campus really gives me the home feeling I wanted out of college.

What is one word you’d use to describe William Woods?

Diverse.

What has been your favorite class here so far?

General Psychology because Professor Hertzog is the most amazing teacher. I truly learned the most in that class and enjoyed it the most.

What’s one thing you wish you had known when you first started at William Woods?

I wish I would have known how professors and students are willing to assist and support me when I need it!

Have you ever had a fun nickname?

A lot of my close friends call me Lex.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the Alpha Chi Omega house because it is where I truly feel like I belong.

Where do you like to study?

I love to study at the dinning room table in the Alpha Chi Omega house.

What is your favorite place in Fulton?

Tacos and Tequila! I love Mexican food!
