Wendy Jarman Powell

Wendy Jarman Powell a resident of Kansas City, Mo., is a 1971 graduate of William Woods University and a past recipient of the Alumni Association's Green Owl Award.

Actively involved in the Kansas City community, Wendy has served on the Boards of the Pembroke Hill School, the Kansas City Ballet, Young Audiences, and the Missouri Arts Council, and is currently active on the Board of Powell Gardens, Kansas City's Botanical Garden. She has also been a trustee of the Metropolitan Arts Fund and the Skill Builders Fund, and was a long time member of the National Advisory Council of the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet.

Wendy and her husband, George Powell, III, have two married daughters and four grandchildren.
