William Woods Judging Team

The William Woods Judging Team is open to anyone who wants to learn more about horses and competitive judging. When judging competitively you compete on a team of 4-5 as well as individually. Collegiate Judgers will judge halter classes, performance classes, and give sets of reasons. Reasons are equal to a two minute speech given from memory that explains how you placed the classes.

In the fall we meet about once a week to practice for the fall competitions. In the fall we compete at the Morgan Grand National and World Championship show, U S Arabian National Horse Show, and the National Reining Futurity.

In the spring we focus on giving back to the community. We help at a variety of clinics and judging contests throughout the state. We also put on our own Judging clinic for 4-H and the community.

The William Woods Judging Team is advised by Western Instructor Jennie Petterson please contact her here for more information: jennie.petterson@williamwoods.edu
