Residents provide their own telephones to use in their residence hall rooms. All rooms are equipped with a telephone jack. The university can make arrangements with an outside long distance company to provide long-distance service for students. If requested the company provides an individual personal authorization code, which allows residents to make long distance calls from on campus or off campus. The calls will be billed monthly to the student or parents, as requested. Students are not required to use this service.

The information systems department provides telephone administration.

Students are encouraged to notify hall staff in the event that harassing or obscene phone calls are received.
