General Policies

All furniture will remain in the room.
A room key and the hall combination will be issued at check-in. Duplicate keys are not permitted.
Residents should routinely lock their doors and retain the key when leaving the room.
Lost keys should be reported to the hall staff immediately.
There is a fee for a replacement key.
Locks are not routinely changed. Changing locks will be at the student's expense.
While you cannot paint your room you are encouraged to personalize your space. Please remember to use white poster putty to hang any posters. Decorations are encouraged, as long as they do not create a health or fire hazard.
You will be provided a single bed, one mattress, one chest, one desk and chair. You may arrange the furniture to suit your needs.
All windows have blinds. You may bring your own carpet, but no rubber-backed carpet, carpet glue or tape can be used. Vacuum cleaners are provided in each hall.
All residence halls are equipped with kitchenets, laundry facilities and vending machines.
Store rooms are provided in most residence halls. This area is limited to suitcases, trunks, and boxes. Stored items must be properly labeled with full campus and home contact information.
William Woods accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage of items in storage. You are encouraged to obtain insurance coverage for your personal property.

The university is not responsible for theft or damage to students' personal items. It is recommended that students have insurance coverage.
