Study Abroad

 William Woods University students have studied in; Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain and the Philippines over the past few years. The locations and cultures may have been different, but every single student returned with the same desire to learn more about the world and its people. We have affiliations with programs all over the world.

Studying abroad can enhance your college experience in numerous ways, such as;

  1. Helping you gain an international dimension as well as a global perspective in your major,
  2. Expanding your range of course options to develop a global resume,
  3. Allowing you to experience the increasing interdependence of the United States with other countries,
  4. Exploring the role you can play in the global community,
  5. Increasing your understanding of other cultures to enable you to get a different perspective on your own culture,
  6. Getting to know local students, host families, and townspeople in order to immerse yourself in the life of the host country,
  7. Enjoying new and different activities,
  8. Sharpening interpersonal and communication skills through interaction with people from backgrounds different from your own, and
  9. Heightening your sense of independence and self-confidence.
