Sorority Recruitment Schedule

Wednesday, August 20 - 7:30 p.m.

Informational Event (LEAD Event)

Women interested in going through the Recruitment process can attend the informational meeting to learn more about Sorority Recruitment. This meeting will provide interested women the opportunity to meet the Sorority Recruitment Counselors (Pi Chi's) and get a lot of their questions answered before Recruitment begins on Thursday.

Location: Cutlip Auditorium, McNutt Campus Center

Thursday, August 21 – 6:00 p.m.

Open House (LEAD Event)

Potential new members are required to attend Open House parties at all four sororities.  During the Open Houses, you will be introduced to women in the chapters who represent different majors, backgrounds and hometowns.  You will also find out about their campus activities and community service projects.  This is an opportunity for you to ask lots of questions! Women participating in Recruitment will be provided Panhellenic t-shirts to wear for Thursday evening.

Potential new members will meet in the McNutt Campus Center at 5p.m.

Friday, August 22 – 1p.m.

Skit/Theme Event

The Skit/Theme events are by invitation only, and each potential new member can visit up to three chapters.  During this event, you will be entertained by a short skit, which will be unique at each chapter.  Throughout the afternoon, the personalities of each chapter will shine and you may see yourself fitting in with a specific group of women.  It is also important to note that Greek Recruitment is a mutual selection process--as you are deciding which chapter to join, the chapter members are also deciding on you.

Saturday, August 23 – 6 p.m.

Preference Night

The third night of Recruitment is also by invitation only, and potential new members will visit a maximum of two chapters.  Preference Night is the most formal of the three parties.  Chapters will share what makes their sorority special to them, and explain the bonds of sisterhood.  While this night is more serious, it is important to remember to relax and let your true colors shine!

Sunday, August 24 – 7 a.m.

Formal bids to join a sorority will be extended in McNutt Campus Center.  Those students receiving and accepting a bid will immediately move into the chapter houses!
