Academic Service-Learning Project Description:

This project started as part of the Mentor-Mentee program with professor Gary Mullen and William Woods student Kate Woodard. The actual event took place on April 5, 2008 with Gary and Kate serving as co-show managers for the event. Students from the Therapeutic Riding course were also involved with the event. The event was an invitational that was specifically tailored to fit each rider's wants and needs. Nineteen athletes participated in the event, representing teams from Columbia, MO; Decatur, IL; Fulton, MO; Lawson, MO; Pleasant Hill, MO; and Union, MO.
