In the Spring of 2005, William Woods University joined Campus Compact.
WWU joined approximately 30 other institutions of higher education as an affiliate of the Missouri chapter.
In joining Campus Compact, WWU became part of a national coalition of more than 950 college and university presidents - representing some 5 million students - dedicated to promoting community service, civic engagement, and Service-Learning in higher education.
Administrators, faculty, students, and others who would like to learn more about Campus Compact or get great resources should visit the national web site.
In 2007, WWU was approved as one of the seven sites for Missouri Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTAs. In August of 2007, WWU's AmeriCorps*VISTA started work on campus.
