Academic Service-Learning Project Name: ARockmetic: Musical Mathematics

Academic Service-Learning Project Description:

Students in the Teaching Elementary Math course planned and hosted a math fair for local 4th graders. They gathered information from the 4th grade teachers about what their students needed extra help with before the MAP test started. The student teachers taught the same lessons for 3 different groups. They gained experience in adapting the lessons for each learning style. To assist with the planning for next year and the reflection process the 4th grade teachers were asked to fill out evaluations.
