Enrollment policies for Associate of Arts and Access courses
Associate of Arts cohort students who have completed or who have credit for all courses in their cohort through English Composition II (ENG 102) may register simultaneously for two courses meeting AA requirements. One of those two courses must be with the student’s cohort, unless he or she has transfer credit for that course posted with the university. The second course may be an Access course or a course in another Associate of Arts cohort. Students may not be registered for more than two courses at a time. Students are required to meet the mathematics requirements with their cohort.

You are most welcome to proceed through the Associate of Arts program as it is outlined on your course calendar. Taking two courses simultaneously would mean at least a doubling of your study load. You are the best judge of the demands on your time and whether taking two courses at the same time is prudent or feasible.

Degree-completion students (students in accelerated bachelor’s-level programs at the university) may enroll in AA cohort courses of Access courses to meet elective or Common Studies requirements. Students may not be registered for more than two courses at a time.
