Columbia Art League Features Work of WWU Students

The work of three William Woods University art students is on display in Columbia, in the Intercollegiate Showcase sponsored by the Columbia Art League.

The students are: Ruth Blankenship, a senior from Hamilton, Ill., majoring in studio art; Brian Stuckey, a sophomore from Mokane majoring in graphic design, and Sarah Williams, a junior from Brookfield majoring in studio art.

The juried exhibition runs through April 9 and features a variety of artwork from mid-Missouri college students. Aaron Fine, gallery director at Truman State University, judged the work.

Blankenship’s pieces are titled “Morning After” and “Portrait of Love.” Stuckey’s art is a digital photograph manipulation called “It is All in the Color.” Williams is displaying a self portrait in charcoal.

The gallery, at 111 South Ninth St., Suite 140, Columbia, is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. A reception will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 12.
