Fulton Students Named Distinguished Scholars

Boulware, the son of Mike and Brenda Boulware of Hattan, received the honor in business administration. Dunlap, the daughter of Raymond and Wanda Dunlap of Fulton, received the honor in Middle School Education. Rueter was named the Distinguished Scholar in Special Education. She is the daughter of Ken and Susan Rueter of Batesville, Ark., and formerly of Fulton.
Other students named as Distinguished Scholars are: Lauren Metcalf, accounting; Alan Arthur, biology; Jennifer Frey, business administration; Leah Novack, communications; Tara Fiene and Ben Ngie, computer information systems; Lynne Riedemann, elementary education; Genevieve Flieger and Hanne Hartelius, equestrian science; Khoa Nguyen, graphic design; Amanda Bethmann, ASL interpreter training; Laura Rufkhar and Rebecca Eye, legal studies; Joshua Kennedy, psychology; Cathee Wolford, social work, and Jennifer Sydow, Spanish.
The faculty of various disciplines at William Woods have the opportunity each spring to designate one graduating senior as a Distinguished Scholar. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required, but the faculty may consider other relevant academic factors and variables in the selection process.
