The Chi Omega chapter at William Woods University has a wish—a wish for walkers. The women hope lots of walkers will participate in their 5K Wish Walk this weekend. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work since 1980.
The 5K Wish Walk will start at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the covered bridge on the Stinson Creek Trail. Participants can preregister at the YMCA or in WWU’s Tucker Dining Hall, or they can register starting at 2 p.m. the day of the race.
Cost to enter is $20 for adults and $10 for students and children 12 and under. A 50/50 raffle and additional donation options will be available.
For more information or to donate to the cause, email wishwalk5k@gmail.com.
