Businesses are being sought for a career fair March 6 at William Woods University.

The fair will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Helen Stephens Sports Complex.

Amy Dittmer, director of career services and student success, is trying to have every academic major represented for the benefit of the William Woods students.  She has invited more than 300 businesses and organizations to the event.

Students aren't the only ones who will profit from the career fair.

"They (businesses and organizations) connect with possible employees, clientele, and further market their business," Dittmer said.

Last year a follow-up survey was distributed to students and businesses.

"We listen to what students want," Dittmer said, "which is why we're trying to get new, diverse groups."

Businesses also reported back that they were happy with the turnout of students.

Organizations and businesses can register online by Feb. 29 at www.williamwoods.edu/student_life/career_services.asp. Registration is $25 for two people and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
