Quincy Resident Receives Award

A St. Louis native, Chris Lich Daniels graduated from William Woods in 1976 with a fine arts degree in home economics and an emphasis in childhood education. After graduation, she worked for Ozark Airlines in Chicago and St. Louis and married Bill Daniels in 1978.
They are the parents of three children: Lauren, 20; Spencer, 17, and Connor, 11. Chris Daniels has always been active in the children’s classrooms and PTAs. She is past president of Adams School and a life member since 1996.
A member of the Quincy Service League for 10 years, Daniels has served on many committees. She co-chaired the first Service League Cookbook project. Now a sustaining member, she is still volunteering on the major gift show.
Daniels has served on the board of the Quincy Society of Fine Arts since 1996 and the executive board since 1998. She served as president for two years of the Arts/Quincy Riverfest, was Arts Ball co-chair and currently serves as program chair.
In addition, Daniels has served on the Quincy Museum Board, the Adams County Historical Society and Madonna House. She has served on the Quincy YMCA board and executive board since 1999. She has been involved in many community capital campaigns and Adams County Republican campaigns. She currently serves on the Distinguished Citizen Committee for Mississippi Valley Council 141 of the Boy Scouts of America.
Daniels was elected to the William Woods University National Alumni Board in 1998 and was elected treasurer in 2001. She also chairs the Alumni House committee, helps with Alumni Weekend, represents her alma mater at admissions events and, with her husband, hosts area alumni dinners.
