Lucy Fuelle Named to Who’s Who

Lucy FuelleLucy Fuelle of Ann Arbor, Mich., has been named to the 2011 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”

She was one of 14 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who based on outstanding campus leadership.
 
Fuelle, an equine administration major, was also named Distinguished Scholar in Equine Administration. The faculty of various disciplines at William Woods have the opportunity each spring to designate one graduating senior as a Distinguished Scholar. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required, but the faculty may consider other relevant academic factors and variables in the selection process.
 
A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the Who’s Who students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
 
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Fuelle joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
 
Fuelle was vice president for finance for Alpha Chi Omega sorority and chaired the British and European Connection Committee of the Multicultural Affairs Club. She also was a member of the Dressage Club, team member for Up Til Dawn for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a university tutor for equestrian science and economics. In addition, she co-wrote a food column for the Talon campus newspaper.
 
She has volunteered for CARDV (Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence), Operation Christmas Child and the Scleraderma Foundation.
