Lace up your sneakers! The Woods Way Wellness Committee at William Woods University invites the community to join students, faculty and staff in the Woods Way 5K run/walk Sunday, April 17.
April 17 marks the beginning of Greek Week, so this year’s 5K is dubbed, “2nd Annual Woods Way 5K Celebrates Greek Week.”
The event begins at 2 p.m. in front of the McNutt Campus Center. Participants are welcome to run or walk the 5000 meters and may choose to be timed or untimed. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. in front of McNutt, or participants may pre-register during the week in the Office of Student Life in the McNutt Center. All ages are welcome. This will be a family- friendly event, and strollers will be permitted. Children 12 and under may participate for free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is $2 for WWU students and $10 for all others. The first 75 registered participants are guaranteed t-shirts. Sponsors of the Woods Way 5K are Pfoodman and Fraternity and Sorority Life.
