William Woods Announces CourtWarming Court

William Woods University students recently selected their 2010
CourtWarming King and Queen. Nathan Thackeray, a communications major from Manchester, England, was voted king, and Megan Salmon, a double major in communications and equestrian science from Richardson, Texas, was chosen queen.

Members of the court were: Emily Edens of Ozark, Mo.; Liza Payne of Zionsville, Ind.; Lisa Burke of Louisburg, Kan.; Lili Coleman of Tulsa, Okla.; Jerone Lester of Alsip, Ill.; Harrison Jones of Fulton, Mo.; Andy Hamilton of Troy, Mo., and Scott Thompson of St. James, Mo.
Coronation of the court took place Feb. 27 between the women’s and men’s basketball games against Columbia College in the Anderson Arena of the Helen Stephens Sports Complex.
The event marked the end of William Woods University’s third annual CourtWarming Week, a tradition introduced by the WWU’s Student Alumni Council to encourage school spirit.
