WWU Biology Department Welcomes New Honorary Society Members

Five students were recently initiated into Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta) Biological Honor Society at William Woods University.
Tri-Beta is a society for students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research.
Students initiated into the Pi Phi chapter were: Jessica Deetz of Nixa, Mo.; Ann DeHart of Keosauqua, Iowa.; Melissa Franke of Jonesburg, Mo.; Carmen Watchinski of Columbia, Md., and Rachel Weber of Millstadt, Ill.
To be eligible for the honor society, students must be biology majors who have completed at least three biology courses while maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Dr. Mary Spratt, professor of biology, is the faculty advisor.
