Three Professors Receive Promotions at WWU

Three William Woods University faculty members recently received promotions. Dr. Linda McClaren was promoted to professor of equestrian science, Dr. Aimee Sapp was promoted to professor of communication arts and Dr. Roger Wen was promoted to associate professor of business and education.
McClaren, who lives in Fulton, earned both her bachelor of science and master of education degrees at William Woods and began teaching at WWU in 1996. She received her Ph.D. from Capella University.
She has received several honors and awards over the years: Iowa Nebraska Hunter/Jumper Association Trainer of the Year award in 1993 and 1994, Missouri Horse Shows Association Instructor of the Year award in 1999 and 2001 and Louis D. Beaumont Dad’s Association Distinguished Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2005.
Sapp, who resides in Columbia, earned her bachelor of science degree at William Woods and went on to pursue her M.A. at the University of Northern Colorado and her Ph.D. at the University of Missouri. She joined the WWU faculty in 1998. Sapp received the Louis D. Beaumont Dad’s Association Distinguished Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2004.
