William Woods University students this year are doing their part to “Drown Out Childhood Cancer” by raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with water-themed events. During a two-hour car wash Thursday, the eight-member executive board of the student organization, Up Til Dawn, collected $254 in free-will donations toward their cause. Last month, they raised about $150 with a dunking booth featuring student life staff members.
Up Til Dawn has raised nearly $50,000 since the group was started on campus in 2004.
