|2/6/2008||Mary Ann Beahon|
|FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE||(573) 592-1127|
Colvin, a Jefferson City native, first began taking pictures as a way to document where he was and what he was doing. After a trip to Yellowstone National Park in the late 1980s, his hobby soon grew into more than a pastime when he realized his limitations with the equipment he was using.
Through self teaching, workshop training and local classes, he has since traveled the country and the world photographing images that capture his love of the outdoors and his passion for preserving our natural world.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public. A reception and artist talk will take place Feb. 24, from 1-4 p.m.
For more information on the exhibit, call (573) 592-4245.
