Faculty Member Named Distinguished Professor at William Woods

The award carries an honorarium and is given annually to a faculty member who has displayed dedication to teaching. McCray, a Fulton resident, has taught at the university for two years.
Before that, she had been the staff interpreter and coordinator of the Office of Disability Services on campus for eight years. She also was an adjunct faculty member for two years.
Not only did McCray earn a B.S. in psychology and ASL interpreting from WWU, she received her master of education there, as well. She is pursuing her doctorate at the University of Missouri.
McCray and her husband Chuck have two daughters. Her parents are Joe and Carolyn Houk of Fairview, Okla.
